Empower and enable teacher-farmer to enter into informed debate and to influence policy regarding use of ICT in education, investment and development in rural agricultural communities in Kangundo, Kenya. About 98% of teachers in these rural community are farmers or practice agribusiness.

CALD representative participated at the first Kenya ICT Board, Digital Villages Project Training in Kangundo that took place from 1st – 19th Dec 2008. The Kenya ICT Board was established by HE President Mwai Kibaki, as a state corporation under the State Corporations Act Cap. 446 on 19th February 2007. Digital Villages, also known as "Pasha Centers" (pasha means 'to inform' in Swahili) are e-centres that provide a suite of services to the public via computers connected to the internet, digital cameras, printers, fax machines and other communication infrastructure. These services include e-government services, banking and communication services, e-learning among others.
